Mercer County commissioners this week approved the creation of a Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) to help prepare residents for likely emergencies such as an outbreak of the H1N1 virus.
The MRC is the newest division of the county's Citizens Corps Council (CCC), an organization registered with the U.S. government for aid in disaster preparedness. The MRC will include medical professionals and non-medical volunteers, officials said. [More]
