Kermit Warner
Kermit O. Warner, 78, of St. Marys, died at 3:20 p.m. Oct. 27, 2009, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born June 16, 1931, in New Knoxville to Oliver H. and Adelma Fledderjohann Warner. On Nov. 12, 1950, he married E. Arlene Phillips, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Wittenbrink, Wapakoneta, and Priscilla (David) Slusser, Celina; a sister, Ruth (Dan) Cuthbert, Goshen, Ind.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He worked at Hoge Lumber Company, New Knoxville and retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys after 40 years of service. He played on the Goodyear basketball team. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, where he had served as a trustee for the church and was a member of the church dartball team for 25 years. He was a member of the New Knoxville Historical Society.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Shawn Morris officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Calling is 4-9 p.m. Friday at Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Wapakoneta and one hour prior to service.
