Charles Stauffer
Charles G. Stauffer, 81, of Cridersville, died at 1:46 a.m. Jan. 24, at Cridersville Healthcare Center.
He was born May 3, 1928, in Logan County, to Charles and Edith Mae McElroy Stauffer. His wife of more than 40 years, Sharon Ann Smith, died Dec. 21, 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth (Sonny) Mullins, Celina, and Melissa (Joe) Desuk, Houston, Texas; three stepdaughters, Kathy (Jim) Lanker, Lima, Linda (Gary) Cook, Lakeland, Fla., and Diann (P.J.) Powers, Fort Lewis, Wash.; a brother, Cloyne W. Stauffer, Lima; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a stepson, Paul Patterson; two daughters, Melinda Kay and Carolyn May Stauffer; a sister-in-law, Florence Stauffer; three sisters; four brothers; and a grandson.
He worked for many years as an electrician at Potts Electric and Sparta Electric, and as a general handyman for Yocum Realty, all of Lima.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Lewis Eastside Chapel Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lima, the Rev. Howard Allison officiating. Burial is at Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
