Marvin Sell
Former Mercer County resident Marvin L. Sell, 56, of Decatur, Ind., died at 8:19 a.m. Feb. 15, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born May 20, 1953, in Fort Wayne, to Charles Robert and Doris L. Tinkham Sell, who are deceased. His longtime companion, Rose Hower, survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Marvin D. (Sissy) Sell, Celina, and Andrew (Becky) Sell, St. Marys; two daughters, April (Mike) McIntosh, St. Marys, and Meleia Hower, Decatur; two brothers, Duane (Lynne) Sell, Huntley, Ill., and Eldon (Adina) Sell, Celina; a sister, Cathy Smith, Celina; eight grandchildren and eight stepgrandchildren.
He retired from Decatur Castings. He was a 1972 graduate of Parkway High School and a former member of the Mercer County Sheriff's Rangers Association.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial is at Stringtown Cemetery near Rockford.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
