Eugene E. Birt, 90, 7550 U.S. 33, Celina, died Feb. 22, 2010, at his home.

He was born June 10, 1919, in Celina to George and Sylvia Thorton Birt. On Oct. 26, 1940, he married Virginia Trisel, who died April 16, 2007.

Survivors include a son, Richard (Donna) Birt, Celina;; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a great-greatgrandchild.

Deceased is a daughter, Kathy Prater; and a brother, Gerald Birt.

He was a retired part-time farmer and professional photographer at Slonkosky Photo in St. Marys for 37 years. He graduated from Celina High School in 1937 and was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He also was a member of the Neptune Church of God and the Celina Senior Citizen Center.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. William Moorman officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, with military rites.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
