Kermit Monnin
Kermit I. Monnin, 84, of Redmond Road, Russia, died Feb. 22, 2010, at his home.
He was born Dec. 27, 1925, in Russia to Norbert and Bertha Pepiot Monnin. On June 7, 1947, he married Audrey Francis, who survives.
Also surviving are eight children, Edward Monnin, Bub (Jan) Monnin, Sue (Marvin) Knapke and Ellen (Lawrence) Grieshop, all of Versailles, Linda Scott, Piqua, Dale (Deb) Monnin, Lewisburg, Ray (Kelly) Monnin, Houston, and Jeff (Nancy) Monnin, Minster; four sisters, June (Richard) Young, Sidney, Emily (Marion) Grillot, Russia, Carol (William) Dunkel, Russia, and Shirley (Lawrence) Simmons, Versailles; two brothers, Richard (Pat) Monnin and Lyndon (Betty) Monnin, all of Russia; 19 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Donald, Dennis and John Monnin.
He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both of Russia.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m.Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Russia.
