Eldon Brandon
Coldwater native Eldon Brandon, 71, 2231 St. Leo Road, Mannington, W. Va., died at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 8, 2010, at his home due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
He was born Aug. 20, 1938, in Coldwater, to Myron and Faye Brandon. On April 22, 1995, he married Janice Beckelhiemer, who died at the same time as her husband.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Allen (Kathy) Brandon, Ft. Collins, Colo., and Scott (Marlene) Brandon, Westminster, Colo.; a daughter, Melissa Deisher, Thornton, Colo.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a sister, June Bollenbacher.
He worked as a welding engineer. He was a member of the Mannington Church of the Nazarene, of West Virginia, the American Welding Society and The Ohio State University Welding Engineering Alumni Association. He was a 1956 graduate of Celina High School and was a member of the school's football team, the Civil Air Patrol, Boy Scouts of America and the Future Farmers of America.
