After having their opening exhibition doubleheader washed out on Saturday, the Grand Lake Mariners opened their season to mixed reviews on Sunday afternoon as they swept the Portland Rockets, 4-2 and 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at Jim Hoess Field.
The Coldwater ACME team opened its season on Sunday, scoring a run in the bottom of the seven to overcome a Celina rally and take a 7-6 win at Veterans Field in Coldwater.
