* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Scott Albers
Scott J. Albers, 36, New Bremen, died June 8, 2010, following a traffic accident.
He was born March 18, 1974, in Alamogordo, N.M., to Frank and Trish Gast Albers, who survive in St. Henry. On Oct. 19, 1995, he married Wendy Loschen, who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are two children, Christopher and Cassandra Albers, both at home; four siblings, Doug (Amy) Albers and Leslie (Jim) Heitbrink, all of St. Henry, Lauren (Greg) Romer, Coldwater, and Jenni Albers, St. Henry; grandparents, Angela Albers, Fort Loramie, and Mark and Joan Wenning, St. Henry; father-in-law, Ken (Juanita) Loschen, Champaign, Ill.; mother-in-law, Mikki Loschen, Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother-in-law, Rae (Diane) Loschen, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two stepbrothers-in-law, Bobby (Shawndela) Roedl, Urbana, Ill., and Jay (Tracy) Loschen, Tolono, Ill.
Deceased are grandfathers, Bernard Albers and Robert Gast.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen. He also was a member of Boy Scout Troop #95 New Bremen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at World Class Plastics in Russells Point.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Tom Mannebach officiating. Burial with full military honors is at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
