Hilda Topp
Hilda M. Topp, 87, Chickasaw, died at 4:50 p.m. June 16, 2010, at the Gardens in St. Henry.
She was born July 1, 1922, in Coldwater, to Michael and Kathryn Mescher Lefeld. On Sept. 5, 1942, she married Frederick Topp, who survives in St. Henry.
Also surviving are six children, Dinah (Ron) Reigelsperger and Kathy (Glen) Blair, all of Huber Heights, Joseph (Marilou) Topp, North Star, Susan (John) Grant, Fairborn, and Martin (Thelma) Topp and Larry (Nancy) Topp, all of New Bremen; four sisters, Betty Hess, Brock, Rita Siegrist, Coldwater, Ann Hohl, New Carlisle, and Vera Bolheimer, West Milton; two sisters-in-law, Erlene (Charlie) Garman, New Bremen, and Louise Barga, St. Marys; 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six siblings, Isadore Steinke, Sr. Francetta Lefeld, Mary Bryan, Louella Collins, John Steinke and Kay Figel; a son-in-law, David Reigelsperger and a granddaughter, Lynn Topp.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw, and a member of the church's ladies sodality. She was a homemaker and worked at the former Box Factory in Minster. She helped at the Grand Lake Beagle Club in Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Ken Alt officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery in Chickasaw.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
