Raphael Peltier
Raphael L. Peltier, 86, Celina, died at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 24, 2010, at his home.
He was born July 6, 1924, in Piqua, to Louis and Zelma Francis Peltier. On Oct. 2, 1948, he married Esther Seger who died in 1971. In January 1975, he married Lela Dix Bushnell, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael (Karen) Peltier, Texas, Craig (Betty) Peltier, Piqua, and Jeff Peltier, Piqua; two daughters, Diane (Lenny) Monnin, Russia, and Peggy (Walt) Kellems, Florida; a stepdaughter, Pam (Tom) Rogers, Miamisburg; three stepsons, Jim (Shauna) Bushnell, Piqua, Dennis (Jenny) Bushnell, Washington, and Andy (Cindy) Bushnell, Dayton; two sisters, Mary Simon and Tillie Verdin, Versailles; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are three brothers, Louis, Homer and Joseph Peltier.
He served in the Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Scott DE214 from 1943-1946. He retired from NCR in Dayton. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma, American Legion in Coldwater, Lake Improvement Association, Celina Moose Lodge and was a life member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Jame Dugal officiating. Burial with military honors is at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Piqua.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
