Mary Ellen Miller, 76, Mendon, died at 6 p.m. March 14, 2011, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Auglaize County to Gerald and Viola Topp Sanders. On Nov. 21, 1953, she married George J. Miller Jr., who died Jan. 21, 1995.

Surviving are six children, Jeanine (Thomas) Thobe, Henderson, N.C., Lucinda Herfurth, Mendon, Kyle (Betty) Miller, Mendon, Michael Miller, Mendon, Lois Miller, Mendon, and Gwendolyn (Larry) Goubeaux, Osgood; two brothers, Ralph Sanders and Fred Sanders; a sister, Dorothy Meeker; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Also deceased are three brothers, Norbert, Paul and Carl Sanders; two sisters, Delores Hussey and Ruth Long; and two grandsons.

She was a 1952 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She worked at the St. Marys Cotton Miller and retired from cooking at Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial is at Willow Grove Cemetery in New Bremen.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Medical Center in Dayton VA.
