Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Lois L. Wood
Lois L. Wood, 82, St. Marys, died Aug. 16, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Mendon, to David and Mabel (Mutersbaugh) Boroff.
On May 19, 1948, she married David Wood, who died Jan. 16, 1997.
Surviving are five children, Lana Boos, Saint Marys, Michael (Glenda) Wood, Delaware, Deborah (Richard) West, Lima, Pamela McKee, Springfield, and Teresa (Brad) Pyles, St. Marys; three sisters, Ruth Smith, Celina, Frances Armstrong, St. Marys, and Helen Boroff, Mendon; one brother, John Boroff, Spencerville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a son-in-law, Ronald Boos; three sisters, Evelyn and June Boroff and Lauree Overly; and one brother, Paul Boroff.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where she served as a deaconness. She graduated from Mendon Union High School in 1947. She was retired from K-Mart in St. Marys and was a homemaker.
Private graveside services are at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the Endowment fund of St. Paul's United Church of Christ or Grand Lake Hospice.
