Tony Golden
Former Celina resident Tony F. Golden, 65, Tiffin, died at 9:20 a.m. Oct. 7, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 1, 1946, to Fred and Florence Spriggs Golden, who are deceased. On April 22, 1972, he married Ann Nevergall, who survives in Tiffin.
Also surviving are siblings, Daniel K. Golden, Flower Mound, Texas, Rosie Ann (William O.) King, Celina; mother-in-law, Hope L. Nevergall; sister in-law, Karla (Bruce) Fent, Rockford; brother-in-law, Hal Nevergall, Celina; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a father-in-law, George Nevergall, and a sister-in-law, Elaine Golden.
He graduated from Celina High School in 1964 and received a bachelor's degree in business from Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of ROTC and the Kiwanis Club. He had been an active member of the Lions Club, Cleveland. He taught at Immaculate Conception School in 1970 and was a independent representative for Troy Chemical Company, Burton. For more than 15 years, he served as 4-H adviser and sports shooting instructor at Seneca County Junior 4-H Camp, Kelley's Island.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and before 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
A special service is 6 p.m. Sunday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin.
Memorials may be made to Seneca County 4-H Advisory Council, designated for 4-H Camp Scholarships and 4-H Milk Shake Stand renovations.
