Amanda Weigandt Wells and Abigail Juliana Wells
Amanda Weigandt Wells, 31, died Oct. 29, 2011, at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, due to complications during childbirth.
She was born Feb. 7, 1980, to Richard and Juliana Weigandt, who survive in Minster. On Sept. 15, 2007, she married Leighton Wells, who survives in Chicago.
Also surviving are a brother, Todd (Julianne) Weigandt, Minster; two sisters, Dee Dee (Stan) Bender, Troy, and Abi (Doug) Bardasian, St. Louis Mo.; parents-in-law, Jeff and Cindy Wells, Syracuse, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Cassandra Wells, Chicago; a grandparent, Ralph Larger, Minster; and grandparents-in-law, Bill and Barbara Beemer.
She was a 1998 graduate of Minster High School and a 2002 graduate of Miami University with a degree in marketing. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She was a medical representative with Genentech in Chicago, where she was a member of the President's Club.
Abigail Juliana Wells, infant daughter of Leighton and Amanda Wells, died Nov. 1, 2011, at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, following complications during her birth. She is survived by her father, Leighton Wells, Chicago.
Calling for Amanda and Abigail is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. A funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Calling also is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. A service is 11 a.m. Sunday at Eastlund with burial following at Syracuse Cemetery.
