Marjorie McElroy
Former Celina resident Marjorie M. McElroy, 82, Monroe, Ind., died May 1, 2012, at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.
She was born May 14, 1929, in Van Wert County, to William H. and Iva B. Uncapher Walser. On June 1, 1947, she married Robert E. McElroy, who died May 28, 2008.
Surviving are six children, Ralph W. (Patty) McElroy, Wapakoneta, Robert E. (Macaria) McElroy, San Diego, Calif., George D. McElroy, Monroe, Ind., Deborah K. McElroy, Houston, Texas, Delores A. (Mark) Hart, Portland, Ind., and Bonnie L. (Steve) Baker, Rockford; a son-in-law, Jerry Morris, Kilmarnock, Va.; 23 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Cynthia J. Morris, and two sisters, Edith E. Mosier and Bertha I. Walser.
A homemaker, she had worked as a pickle packer at Green Bay Foods, Eaton Rapids, Mich., retiring in 1992.
She was a graduate of Ridge High School in Middle Point and attended Beautiful Saviour Lutheran Church, Decatur.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Timothy Pederson officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
