Jerome Boeckman
Jerome A. Boeckman, 79, Dayton, passed away Jan. 26, 2013.
He was born Oct. 4, 1933, in St. Henry to the late Anthony and Clara Nieberding Boeckman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ida (Heuing); four children, Ron (Patty), Jeff (Charlene), Pam and Shelly Boeckman; six grandchildren, David, Christopher, Courtney, Tony, Caroline and Garrett; two great-grandchildren, Conner and Emma; two sisters, Jeannette (Elmer) Wellman and Shirley (Dale) Niekamp; a sister-in-law, Barb (Ken) Wenning; a brother-in-law, John (Esther Borger) Heckler; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Eugene, and a sister, Ruth.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. He was an avid auto racing fan and a long-standing member of the Dayton Auto Race Fans (DARF) Club, serving on its board in recent years.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Dayton. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, Dayton, and 9:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or DARF, in Jerry's memory.
