Opal Sproul
Opal C. Sproul, 90, died 10:09 p.m. Jan. 25, 2013, at Otterbein, Cridersville.
She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Bellefontaine to Paul and Goldie Johns Snook. On June 8, 1941, she married Russell E. Sproul, who died Sept. 12, 2004.
Surviving are four daughters, Victoria "Vicki" (Milo) Agnew, Waynesfield, Marsha (Walt) Mangen, St. Marys, Darlene (David) Chiles, Waynesfield, and Denise (Don) Green, Celina; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a brother, John Paul Snook; a sister, Laura Elizabeth Walton; and a grandson, Andrew Chiles.
She graduated from Bellefontaine High School, was a member of Waynesfield Baptist Church and ABW Ministries, served on the music committee at the church and also played piano there until January 2012. She then played piano, when she was able, at Otterbein, Cridersville. She had worked as a clerk at Gregs Department Store and was a homemaker.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waynesfield Baptist Church, the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday at Armentrout Funeral Home, Waynesfield, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Waynesfield Baptist Church or Otterbein Benevolent Fund.
