Carolyn Phillips
Carolyn D. Phillips, 60, Celina, died of natural causes at 12:15 a.m. Feb. 2, 2013, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1952, in Lima to T.J. and Helen Benzing Roop, who survive in Wapakoneta.
On Oct. 28, 1972, she married Russell Phillips, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are two sons, Marc Phillips of Van Wert and Ryan Phillips of Continental; two daughters, Melissa Phillips and Heather Phillips, both of Celina; a brother, Dennis (Theresa) Roop of Cridersville, two sisters, Peg Mitchell and Barb (Jim) Smith, both of Wapakoneta; a father-in-law, Leonard Phillips of Celina, and eight grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Paul Benzing, and a sister, Beverly Roop.
She was retired from Huffy after 20 years, and also had worked at Miller's Textile of Wapakoneta.
She graduated in 1970 from Wapakoneta High School, and was a member of the Eagles, Moose, and many bowling leagues in Celina.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
