Evelyn Fockler
Evelyn May Fockler, 94, Defiance, passed away March 4, 2013, at the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born May 6, 1918, in Bryan to Park Olin and Nina Campbell Blosser, who are deceased. On Feb. 28, 1936, she married Carl Richard Fockler, who died June 21, 1982.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Beulah) Fockler of Bryan, David Fockler of Defiance, Ronnie Fockler of Bryan, Lynn (Ann) Fockler of Defiance and Marvin (Angie) Fockler of Defiance; daughters, Nancy (James "Bud") Mock of Defiance, Sharon (David, Sr.) Bidlack of Cecil and Beth (Steve) Long of Defiance; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Woodring of Lyons and Pauline Merrilet of Pulaski.
Also deceased are a son, Richard Fockler, two grandchildren; brothers, Russel, Louis and Hershel Blosser; and a sister, Arlene Mattes.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading and crocheting.
Calling was March 6, 2013, at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services were March 7, 2013, at the funeral home, with Sam Mock officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.
