Gustave Link
Gustave C. Link, 82, Fort Recovery, died May 9, 2013, at Dayton Heart and Vascular Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21, 1930, in Cassella to August and Anna Lennartz Link. On Feb. 7, 1959, he married Betty White,who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Robin Link, Coldwater, and Marna (Jeff) Arling, Minster; a son, Scott (Lori) Link, Fort Recovery; six grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jessica, Barbara and Gustave Link, and Alicia and Genoa Arling; one great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Anne Link, Sidney.
Deceased are six brothers, Meinrad (Catherine) Link, Leonard (Esther) Link, August Link Jr., Roman (Carmen) Link, George (Nellie) Link, and Edward Link; and two sisters, Mary Ann (Wilfred) Klosterman, and Victoria Link.
He formerly owned and co-owned K & L Tractor Sales in Fort Recovery. He graduated in 1948 from the former St. John High School in Maria Stein. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Fort Recovery American Legion and Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial with military graveside honors by the Fort Recovery American Legion will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
