Mark Anthony D'Eramo
Deacon Dr. Mark Anthony D'Eramo, 63, of Tyler, Texas, was born to eternal life on June 1, 2013, following a long and gallant battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Beaver Falls, Penn., to Jo-seph and Mary D'Eramo.
He is survived by his loving and de-voted wife of 24 years, Mary Jane; and five admiring children, Laura Elena, Sylvia Nicole, Anthony Nicholas, Aaron Joseph, and Augustine Odysseus; his sister, Catherine Ann D'Eramo (Michael Bologna); brother, Leonard Anthony (Rhonda) D'Eramo; nephews Joseph and Jake of Houston; mother-in-law, Marie Huelsman of St. Henry; sisters-in-law, Barb (Mike) Gerard, Marcia (Jerry) Jackson, Karen (Jim) Jilek; and brother-in-law, Jerry (Cindy) Huelsman, all of Ohio. He was beloved by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Always the source of encouragement to everyone, he was known and loved for his resounding "Bravos!"
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Ralph Huelsman; and brother-in-law, Tom (Birdie) Huelsman, San Antonio, Texas.
He was raised in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston in 1985. He completed his residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. In addition to his medical practice, he lived a life of dedicated service as an ordained Catholic deacon and was a longtime member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church, Tyler. His legacy is his faith and the love of his family, which he called his earthly "Crown of Glory."
Funeral Mass was today at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Burial was at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
