Tommie Real
Tommie A. Real, 75, died at 9:20 p.m. June 12, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Celina to Otho and Myrtle Graham Real. On Aug. 17, 1954, he married Allis Walter, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kevin (Becky) Real of LaSalle, Ill., Jody (Butch) Barnett of Warren, Tomi (Joseph) Portale of Johnson, and Penni (Harold) Rosenberger of Cortland; four grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Real, Jamie Roach and Jerry McConahy; four stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Mineko Renee Roach and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are siblings, Maxine and Kathleen McMurray, Donna Reed, Charles Forwerk, Jane Vorhees, Bernice May and Robert Forwerk.
He was a 1955 graduate of Celina High School, a foreman for United Telephone in Warren/Cortland and also worked for Tom's Installation in Celina. Real, along with his wife Allis, was the past owner-operator of the Tracks Inn for 22 years. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing and watching John Wayne movies.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. He will be laid to rest in the North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel.
Real will then be transported to the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral, Celina, where family and friends may gather for visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
