Magdalene Weitz
Magdalene (Lena) Weitz, 93, Celina, died July 26, 2013, at 3:24 p.m. at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1920, in Celina, to William and Emma (Fisher) Weitz.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Wilma Deitsch and Christiana Deitsch; and two brothers, Paul Weitz and Elmer Weitz.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, and had worked at Reynolds & Reynolds and at an area sewing factory. She was a 1938 graduate of Rockford High School, and a member of the Celina Garden Club, former Ars Nova Club and Mercer County Council on Aging.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
