Ronald Albers
Ronald T. "Ron" Albers, 56, Portland, Ind., died Nov. 12, 2013, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Mercer County.
He was born Aug. 22, 1957, in Coldwater to Carl and Alvira Lange Albers, who survive in St. Henry. On April 20, 1979, he was married in St. Henry to Joyce Grieshop, who also survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Eric (Jamie) Albers, Fort Recovery, David (Chelsea) Albers, Fort Recovery, Benjamin Albers, Fort Recovery, and Jonathan Albers, at home; four daughters, Janelle (Roger) Braun, Fort Recovery, Jenni (Tony) Huelskamp, Fort Recovery, Katie (Jeff) Fortkamp, Fort Recovery, and Olivia Albers, at home; a sister, Rose (Earl) Werntz, Springboro; two brothers, Albert (Joan) Albers, St. Henry, and Alan (Millisa) Albers, St. Henry; grandchildren, Reed, Tenley, Rhett, Michael, Danielle, Nicole, Alexis, Eli, Kaiser, Sawyer, Makenna, Maverick and Rachel; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law, Louis (Mary Ann) Grieshop, Versailles; in-laws, Gene (Kathy) Grieshop, Versailles, Ann (Lee) DeMange, Yorkshire, Jim Grieshop, Fort Recovery, Tom Gehret, New Bremen, Janet (Steve) Selhorst, North Star, Larry (Ellen) Grieshop, Versailles, Linda (Ed) Dirksen, Minster, Larry (Mary Lou) Gehret, Sidney, Mike (Nancy) Grieshop, Versailles, Patty (John) Schulze, Fort Loramie, Bob (Patty) Gehret, Versailles, Carla (Roger) Hartings, Maria Stein, Ted (Kellie) Gehret, Minster, Lisa Pfiffi,Versailles, and Susan (Tony) Kramer, Osgood.
Deceased are his mother-in-law, Dorothy Grieshop; and brothers-in-law, Bernie Osterloh and Dennis Gehret.
He was employed as a die maintenance technician at CAPT, Celina, and also was a farmer. He was a 1975 graduate of St. Henry High School and was a member and deacon at the First Church of Christ, Fort Recovery. He served as a Scout Master for Fort Recovery Boy Scouts. He enjoyed farming, golfing, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, and above all, had a deep love for God, which he instilled in his family.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Church of Christ, 1049 Union City Road, Fort Recovery, the Revs. Gary Snowden and Don Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
