Joann Homan
Joann A. Homan, 76, New Bremen, died Nov. 28, 2013, at St. Marys Living Center, St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Botkins to the late Harry and Emma Brown Wesbecher. On June 9, 1956, she married Maurice J. Homan, who died Sept. 2, 2007.
Surviving are twelve children, Norbert (Joan) Homan, New Bremen, James (Debra) Homan, New Bremen, Rita (Joseph) Prenger, Celina, Robert (Lisa) Homan, Fort Wayne, Ind., Cheryl Reynolds, Jacksonville, Fla., Martha (Dale) Borchers, St. Marys, Neal (Kathleen) Homan, Minster, Charles (Tammy) Homan, New Bremen, Evelyn (Christopher) King, St. Henry, Edwin (Angelica) Homan, New Bremen, Kathryn (Steven) Bohman, Maria Stein, and Karrie (Robert) Will, Maria Stein; 38 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and in-laws, Mary Wesbecher, Lima, Dorothy Brown, St. Marys, Velma (Sylvester) Berning, Sidney, Joan Homan, New Bremen, Donald Homan, St. Marys, Leo (Diana) Homan, Maria Stein, Lillian Homan, New Bremen, and Alvin Brown, New Bremen.
Deceased are four grandchildren; a son-in-law, Billy Reynolds; a brother, Wilbert Wesbecher; an infant sister, Mary Ellen Wesbecher; and in-laws, Harold (Rosemary) Homan, Arnold Homan, Ruth Brown, and Anthony Brown.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, and its Ladies Sodality, the Minster Eagles Auxiliary and was a past president and member of both the Knights of St. John and the New Bremen Senior Citizens.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
