Michael Pearson
Michael Lin Pearson, 55, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:35 p.m. May 2, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 26, 1959, in Union City, to Elvan Louis Pearson and Donna Imogene "Gene" Willis Pearson. His father is deceased; his mother survives in Fort Recovery. On May 30, 1981, he married Marcie Kathleen Collins Pearson in Muncie, Ind., and she survives in Warsaw.
He also will be lovingly remembered by his son, Drew Pearson, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Sophia May Pearson and Carter Allen Pearson, both of Warsaw, and two sisters, Kathy (Autley) Newton, Loranger, La., and Penny Pearson, Columbus.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 14 years. He graduated from high school in Fort Recovery and then attended Ball State University in Muncie, where he earned a bachelor of science degree. He taught school for a number of years at Anderson Community Schools in Anderson, Ind., Fairfield Community Schools in Goshen, Ind., and Tippecanoe Valley Schools in Akron, Ind. In 1996, he commenced employment with Walmart Corp. and at the time of his passing was the senior divisional facilitator for talent development.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, Ind., the Rev. Joe Lampton officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
