Ida Kendrick
Ida Mary Kendrick, 94, a resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, died Oct. 13, 2014, at Otterbein.
She was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Jamestown, New York, to Ray and Lucina Harrington Dennison. On Nov. 1, 1945, she married the Rev. James B. Kendrick, who died December 6, 2008.
Surviving are two children, Rebecca (Wayne) Lybarger, New Bremen, and James (Connie) Kendrick Jr., Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a son-in-law, Dr. John H. Judd, Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, Andrea Lybarger, David Lybarger, Patricia Judd, Dr. John Patrick (Jeong) Judd, and Matthew (Erin) Turnstall; and four great-grandchildren, John Judd Jr., Kaitlyn Judd, Emily Turnstall and Sarah Judd.
Deceased are a daughter, Patricia Judd; three brothers, Murray Dennison, Gerald Dennison and Harley Dennison; and a grandson, John H. Judd III.
She was a 1938 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 1943 graduate of Mount Sinai School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse. She had worked in many different hospitals during her working years, as she and her husband moved around the country during his naval career. She was an avid reader and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
Rites are 11:30 a.m. Friday, at the Coffee County Funeral Home, Manchester, Tenn., Pastor Dan Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Tullahoma, Tenn.
Calling in Ohio is 10 a.m.-noon Thursday in the Meditation Room on the campus of Otterbein, St. Marys. Miller Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements.
Calling in Tennessee is 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Coffee County Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
