Lari Robinson
Lari A. Robinson, 67, Lakeview, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of Nov. 24, 2014, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born Feb. 25, 1947, in Peru, Ind., to William Robinson and Betty Egolf Bockoven. On June 26, 1971, in Vandalia, he married Kathleen Kessen, who survives.
Also surviving are the couple's five children, Angelica Robinson, Clifton Park, N.Y., Dawn Robinson, Lakeview, James (Ginger) Robinson, Flatwoods, Ky., Teresa (Bryan) Meier, New Albany, and Billie (Scott) Littrell, Pickerington, and his daughter, Kelly Warner, Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Kessen, Wake, Koence, Ria and Hollis Littrell, Isaiah and Keegan Robinson, and Kaitlin and Blake Chapman; a sister, Luci Robinson; in-laws, Ann (Dick) Mueller, Mike (Linda) Kessen, Jim Kessen, Jane (Tom) Feltz, Dennis Kessen, Mary Kessen, Tom (Julie) Kessen, and Nancy (Craig) Gray; his best friend and brother-in-life, Jim Sears; numerous nieces and nephews; and the children of his heart, Amanda, Tristan, Aubree, Jenn, Wid and Eric.
Deceased are two brothers, Zane and Dane Robinson; his stepfather, Tom Bockoven; and two brothers-in-law, Steve and John Kessen.
He was a 1966 graduate of Tecumseh High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at the Honda Engine Plant in Anna for 17 years, retiring in 2008. He also formerly owned Cassella Tavern and Lari's Tavern.
He was a member of the Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russells Point, the Rev. Harold W. Kist officiating.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
