CELINA - Gary Cooper said he was overwhelmed by the media frenzy his two turkeys caused at the White House the day before Thanksgiving.
Cooper talked at Thursday's agriculture breakfast meeting about providing the birds for the traditional pardoning ceremony where one bird was spared from the Thanksgiving table by President Barack Obama. The second bird was raised as a backup. [More]

VERSAILLES - Minster roared back after spotting Versailles the first 17 points of the game, but the Tigers' Christa Puthoff hit a free throw with 0.7 seconds left in the game to survive with a 46-45 win over the Wildcats in the Midwest Athletic Conference girls basketball opener at Versailles High School.
