Nellie G. "Nell" McKee, 93, formerly of 416 West South Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 2:20 A.M. Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the Saint Marys Living Center.

She was born March 4, 1922, in Buckland, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Cleona (Mack) Walther. She married Charles P. McKee on June 7, 1943, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2002.

She is survived by her three sons: Charles McKee of Walnut Creek, California; Jon (Jonelle) McKee of Wapakoneta; Michael (Carey) McKee of Urbana, Ohio. She is survived by four grandchildren: Jon (Julie) McKee; Kerry (Adam) Stedke; Doug Wagner; Katie McKee. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren: Sierra, Chloe, Kaitlyn, Emma, Benjamin, and William. She is survived by a sister, June (Ernest) Cook of Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.

Nell was a 1940 graduate of Buckland High in Auglaize County, Ohio. She was employed for many years at the Island Dress Shoppe in Saint Marys, Ohio, and she had also worked as a district counselor for the Dayton Daily News. Nell enjoyed playing cards with her bridge club. She liked to garden and was  very accomplished at counted cross-stitch work, and taught classes on her  technique at the local library. She also liked to do china painting and was a member of Bethlehem Christian Union Church.

Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 10, 2015, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, Pastor Kent Place, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home, where, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Bethlehem Christian Union Church. Condolences may be sent to Nell's family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
