Rita Siedel
Rita Siedel, 88, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away at 10:12 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 20, 1926 to Murray and Helen (Deutsch) Resnick. Rita married Harold "Sy" Siedel on February 16, 1944. Sy passed away on July 17, 1966.
Rita was a member of Calvary U.B. Church and then New Horizons Community Church. She worked for 43 years and retired from the Tu Way Factory in Rockford.
Surviving Rita are 3 daughters: Kathy (Jim) Wilkeson and Ellen (Ed) Peterson-Mosby of Dade City, Florida and Sandra Siedel of Tampa, Florida. 3 brothers also survive: Marvin (Linda) Resnick, Edmond, Oklahoma; Robert (Phyllis) Resnick, Flushing, New York; and Norman (Geri) Resnick, Boca Raton, Florida. She was survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Rita was preceded in death by one son, Alan Siedel and one granddaughter.
Services for Rita will be held at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Pastor Dave Souers will be officiating and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
