CELINA - As the chilly autumn weather sets in, activities are starting to wind down on Grand Lake.

Milt Miller, director of the Lake Restoration Commission, on Saturday told Lake Improvement Association members the Prairie Creek treatment train's pumps would soon stop for the year.

CELINA - A citywide electrical outage occurred early Sunday morning after a buzzard struck a 69 kilovolt power line on the north side of town in the Meadowview Subdivision, popping open a relay switch, mayor Jeff Hazel said this morning.

CELINA - The flurry of goals scored by the Celina girls soccer team in the first half Saturday afternoon was impressive.

The Celina doubles team of Maddy Cline and Nicole Elston will be a fourth seed at this week's Division I girls tennis district at Bowling Green after finishing fourth in the sectional tournament held Saturday at the Findlay YMCA.

Jacob Hawkins bumped Kyle Stickler and went into the lead with 11 laps remaining to win the Modifieds main event race as the DIRTcar Fall Nationals concluded on Sunday at Eldora. Rain on Saturday prompted the move to Sunday afternoon for racing.
