Nancy Ellinger
Nancy M. Ellinger, 89, Celina, passed away at 7:47 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 16, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York, to Salvatore and Rosaria (Pentecoste) Ganci. 
On Sept. 12, 1948, she married Virgil E. "Gene" Ellinger, who passed away on Jan. 1, 2009.
Survivors include seven children: Wally E. Ellinger, Sal J. (Paula) Ellinger, Ron L. (Keri) Ellinger, Tom W. (Terrie) Ellinger, John F. (Betsy) Ellinger, Neil G. (Bruce) Ellinger, Nancy J. (Mike) Allen, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a daughter-in-law Linda L. Ellinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Rosalie Cammarata, and one grandchild.
Nancy was a 1942 graduate of the New York City Public School System. She was employed in Manhattan as a touch-up artist at Vogue Patterns, a company of Conde Nast Publications. After marrying and moving to Ohio, she was a member of the Christian Ladies Sodality and taught CCD at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma. She also was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina. 
She loved to sew and listen to music, especially classical and opera. She was an avid reader, and loved history and learning about the world and other cultures. She enjoyed cooking, especially Italian cuisine. Most of all she dearly loved spending time with her family.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Father Ken Alt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
