JWilva Craft
JWilva L. Craft, 96, formerly of Saint Marys, and a resident of Vancrest Nursing Home, Saint Marys, died 7:20 A.M. Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Saint Marys. She was born August 18, 1919, in Ohio City, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Olive (Balliet) Crouse.
She married Edgar M. Craft on December 27, 1944, in Portland, Indiana and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1980.
She is survived by her children: Caroline (Bob) Waesch of Saint Marys; Donna (David) Shreiner of Millersburg, Ohio; David (Lynn) Craft of Saint Marys; James (Sheila) Craft of Saint Marys. She is survived by seven grandchildren: Matt (Molly) Craft; Jason (Christen) Craft; Brian (Jennifer) Craft; Derek Craft; Aaron (Megan Kappers) Craft; Jacob Craft and Allison Delaplane. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Easton Craft; Carly Craft and Spencer Delaplane.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings Richard Crouse, Marcella Schroer and Frieda Becker.
JWilva was a 1937 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She retired from the Saint Marys Cotton Mill.
She was a member of the First Friends Church in Saint Marys, where she had taught Sunday School and was the church treasurer. She enjoyed gardening, making hand loomed rugs and baking. She had been an Avon Representative for many years.
Funeral rites will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Auglaize County Council on Aging. Condolences may be sent to JWilva's family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
