Thomas A. "Tom" Wendel, 58, Coldwater, Ohio, died on June 25, 2016, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born December 2, 1957, in Coldwater, OH, to Ermin and Regina (Drees) Wendel. His father is deceased; his mother survives in Fort Recovery, OH.

Also surviving are three children, Nick (Carla) Wendel of Coldwater, OH, Deb Wendel of Coldwater, OH, and Jeff (Sarah) Wendel of Coldwater, OH; siblings Pat (Roger) Puthoff of Gettysburg, OH, John (Lori) Wendel of Michigan City, IN, Richard Wendel of Coldwater, OH, Don (Pat) Wendel of Fort Recovery, OH, Randy (Kathy) Wendel of Fort Recovery, OH, Gin (Mike) Peyla of Fort Recovery, OH, Marlene Shade of Coldwater, OH, Marcia (John) Loper of Columbia City, IN; and his grandchildren, Bradley, Becca & Brandon.

He was a 1976 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and was employed as a truck driver for Walmart. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, Coldwater, Ohio and a social member of the Coldwater Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135.

Tom enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving a truck and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, with Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.

Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
