Grand Lake rallies in ninth inning with 7 runs, rolls on to win 15-14 in 14 innings

ST. HENRY - Michael Brown watched from first base as Billy Sager launched a three-run homer to cap a seven-run ninth inning rally that sent Grand Lake's game with Cincinnati to extras.
"Dude's freaking clutch," Brown said. "He's done that for us before. When he goes to the plate in crunch time, you know something good is going to happen."

ST. MARYS - A group of parents and former student-athletes on Wednesday filed a federal lawsuit in Toledo against high school football coaches and district administrators, claiming the coaches violated the students' constitutional rights.
State ag department lifts ban on shows
4-H youths with poultry projects will be flocking back to county fairs in August.
The state last year banned poultry shows over fears of spreading avian influenza and then lifted the ban in December after no cases were confirmed.
Goal of coursework is to help students get jobs after school
CELINA - Celina High School officials will offer a new job-training class for special-needs students starting this school year.
At Wednesday's school board meeting, high school principal Phil Metz said the program will help special-needs students get jobs.
St. Marys native Beth Guggenbiller is the new extension educator for 4-H Youth Development in Mercer County.
She replaces Barb Phares, who retired Feb. 29 after 30 years with The Ohio State University Extension.
ST. MARYS - School board members at a special meeting Wednesday afternoon accepted superintendent Shawn Brown's resignation effective July 31.
Brown is leaving the St. Marys post to take the same position at the Auglaize County Educational Service Center beginning Aug. 1.
