Mary Woeste
Mary E. Woeste, age 93, of Coldwater, died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She was born August 21, 1923 in Ft. Recovery to the late Charles & Elizabeth (Clune) Keller. On June 7, 1947 she married William Woeste and he died October 12, 2016.
She is survived by four sons: Carl Woeste of Coldwater, Kenneth & Linda Woeste of Celina, Paul & Yoli Woeste of Coldwater and Ronald & Lori Woeste of Coldwater; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Kaup of Coldwater and Rita Keller of Dayton.
She is preceded in death by a son James, who died in 1962 at the age of 5, daughters-in-law Joan Woeste and Irene Borgerding-Woeste; siblings: Ed & Rita Keller, Alvin & Mary Keller, Raymond Keller, Mildred & Louis Bolton, Bill & Esther Keller, Dorothy & Russell Derth, Robert & Francis Keller and Paul & Berdella Keller; and in laws Romie Kaup and Richard & Irene Woeste.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality, the Red Hat Society, and past president of the Coldwater Eagles Auxiliary.
Mary worked at Gentile Air Force Station during WWII, was very active at Holy Trinity Church where she taught religion to second graders for 30 years, she volunteered at Mercer Health, loved spending time with her family, traveling with her husband and caring for her flowers and garden. Mary was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mass of Christian Burial for both Mary and Bill will be held 10:30 am Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, October 17, and 9 to 10 am on Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
