Nicholas Kleinhenz
Nicholas A. Kleinhenz, age 62, of St. Henry, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Kettering Medical Center after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born March 20, 1955 in Coldwater, Ohio, to Harold & Virginia (Boehmer) Kleinhenz, and they survive in St. Henry.
On December 20, 1980 he married Irene (Buening) and she survives in St. Henry. He is also survived by four children, Karlee & Adam Klawon of Beavercreek, Michelle & Dane Baldwin of Centerville, Jay Kleinhenz of Centerville, and Kenzie Kleinhenz of Nashville, TN, and four grandchildren: Max Klawon, Eliana, Hazel, and Cooper Baldwin. Nick is also survived by sisters, Sharon & Charlie Lampert of New Bremen, and Kate & Rick Kremer of Ansonia; his father in-law, Roman Buening, and in-laws: John & Barb Buening of Circleville, Ruth & Virg Kremer of New Bremen, Marge & Keith Stucke of North Star, Mary Jo & Jeff Bruns of St. Henry, Dee Dee & Don Bender of St. Henry, and Fred & Brenda Buening of Maria Stein.
He is preceded in death by his mother in-law Norma Buening.
Nick was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, and the St. Henry Knights of Columbus. He owned and operated Kleinhenz & Son Stockyard in Celina. Nick enjoyed bowling with the Big K Mills Team, trapping, fishing, and playing cards. He was an avid sports fan supporting all St. Henry events, as well as the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. Nick will be remembered as a fun practical joker, and a man that never knew a stranger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 PM to 8 PM on Thursday and from 9 to 10 AM Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
