Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Mickey Ginter
Mickey "Mick" Ginter, 72, Saint Marys, died Monday, May 29, 2017, at his residence.
He was born October 11, 1944, in Lima, the son of Joseph and Naomi (Fisher) Ginter.
He married Evelyn Addis and she preceded him in death. He married Wilma Makley, and she survives in Saint Marys. He married Janie Miller on July 3, 2012 and she survives at the residence.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Ginter of Saint Marys; by his former wife, Wilma Makley of Saint Marys; by his children: Delight (Cliff) Damron of Saint Marys; Doreen (Mike) Freewalt of Saint Marys; Deborah (Ron) Sawmiller of Saint Marys; Mick (Linda) Ginter, Jr. of Saint Marys; Donnie (Angel) Ginter of Saint Marys; Naomi (Darrell) Fenwick of Saint Marys; Bonnie (Efraim) Lopez of Saint Marys; Samantha (Shawn) Miller of Rockford, Ohio; Rickey (Alicia Wagner) Ginter of Saint Marys. He is survived by his step-children: George Slone of Saint Marys; Larry (Sarah) Slone of Bluffton, Ohio; Maria "Sis" (Kevin) Sholler of Mayleen, Alabama; Michael (Jill Ballweg) Miller of Saint Marys; Barbara Miller of Celina; Tonya (Tony) Gonzales of Adamsville, Alabama; Leon (Nina Overley) Wallace of Saint Marys; Cody (Ashley) Wallace of Saint Marys. He is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings: Charles  (Joyce) Ginter of Saint Marys; George (Carolyn) Ginter of Sidney; Jeanette Mack of Saint Marys; Larry "Chub" (Kathy) Huston of Saint Marys; Jeff (Tammy) Longsworth of Saint Marys; Tony (Sharon) Gross, Sr. of Saint Marys; Darlene Bowman of Springfield, Ohio; Robin Studer of Rockford; Carol "Sis" Ginter of Saint Marys; Roy Goodwin of Saint Marys. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Hope Ginter of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ginter and Naomi Ginter Huston Longsworth; by his siblings: Joseph Ginter; Roy Ginter; Bill Ginter; Terry Ginter; Randy Longs-worth; Les Longsworth; Jimmy Ginter; Linda Alsup. He was preceded in death by his grandchildren: Felicia Slone; Raymond Miller Whetsel; Dalton Prater; Jessica Ginter. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Eli Young.
He retired from the Saint Marys Foundry after 23 years of service. He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and was a member of the Chained Eagles. He liked to fish and hunt and was a great backyard mechanic. He loved watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He was a fan of University of Michigan football.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Auglaize County Special Olympics.
