Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Roberta Long
Roberta Long, 65, of St. Marys, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, Ohio, died Monday, May 29, 2017, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, where she had been a patient.
She was born on August 18, 1951 in Celina, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence "Peck" and LaVon (Burden) Houser. On April 29, 2000, she married Harry Lee Long. Roberta worked for many years as a cook at Koch's Restaurant and then at Matt's Restaurant, both in St. Marys, OH.
Roberta graduated from Memorial High School in St. Marys in 1969. She was a former member of the Rockford Eagles Auxiliary #1292, and a current member of the Wapakoneta Eagles Auxiliary #691. She loved to fish, cook, bake, and enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music. Roberta loved spending time with family, especially the children. She was a big kid at heart!
Surviving are her sisters, Virginia Strukamp, Rockford, OH; Dorothy Goodwin, St. Marys, OH; Esther Houser, Celina, OH; 2 sisters-in-law, Thelma Houser and Betty Houser, both of Rockford, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Long; her parents, Clarence "Peck" and LaVon Houser; 5 brothers - William Houser, James Houser, Richard Houser, Larry Houser, and Derryl Houser; 2 sisters, Mary Robey and Beatrice Houser; sister-in-law, Mary K. Houser; and brothers-in-law, Elmer Strukamp, and John Robey.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford. Officiating will be Pastor Chip Steffy. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery following the service.   
Friends and family may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 and 1 hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cheryl Ann Programs (Mercer County Board of Developmental Disabilities).
