Periods of light snow can be expected tonight with some scattered snow showers then lingering into Monday morning. Snow totals of around an inch or less will be possible. Increasing winds later tonight and Monday morning will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas. A few hours of light snow are expected late this evening, mainly after 8 pm. While accumulations will be light, some challenging travel conditions may develop given the cold temperatures. The Ohio Department of Agriculture has issued final permits to install and operate to MVP Dairy, a 4,500-head operation to be built northwest of Neptune in the St. Marys River Watershed.
The 82-acre facility, planned adjacent to Hasis Road on the south side of U.S. 33, is a partnership between VanTilburg Farms of Celina and McCarty Dairy LLC of Colby, Kansas. [More]
St. Marys employees restore power to areas hit by Hurricane Irma

ST. MARYS - Two city linemen helped restore light to the darkness in a Florida town hit by Hurricane Irma.
John Vogel and Jason Durkee had joined a contingent of Ohio workers responding to the damage from the disastrous storm. The pair set off from St. Marys on Sept. 10 for Florida to help restore power in Homestead, just south of Miami. They returned to St. Marys on Saturday afternoon. Also in the caravan of vehicles heading south were electrical workers from Tipp City, Piqua and Hamilton. [More]
MENDON - Village officials have secured $434,000 to help pay for a new, larger water tower and agreed on Tuesday to apply for an Ohio Public Works Grant of up to $500,000 to complete funding for the project.
