H. Timothy Haller
H. Timothy Haller, 75, of Grove City, died with his family by his side at 7:15 am January 17, 2018, at Westminster Thurber Care Facility, following an extended illness.
He was born August 18, 1942, in Columbus, OH to the late Merle W. and Betty Ann (Cross) Haller.
Tim is survived by his children: Dawn (Mark) Goodfleisch, Kristin (Scott) Cosgrove, and Aaron (Theresa) Haller; his long-time companion Barb Hilditch; grandchildren: Craig (Candice), Zachary, Aimee, Joshua, Tyler, Reid Nickole, Brittney and Travis; 6 great-grandchildren; his brother Benney (Peg) Haller; nieces and nephews: Michael (Carol) Haller, Dr. Patty (Brad Smith) Haller, Nettina Haller and Matthew (Jill) Haller; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his step-father Robert Vogelgesang; his great-grandson; and a sister Terry Ann Haller.
Tim was 1960 Valedictorian of Mendon Union High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in 1965 in Engineering and his Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1966.
He had worked for General Dynamics and served as an engineer on the F-111, was assistant director of plant maintenance for Grant Medical Center, director of plant maintenance for Mt. Carmel Medical Center, worked as a consulting engineer for Moody-Nolan and as an adjunct math professor at Columbus State.
Tim loved aviation and had his pilot's license and flew radio controlled airplanes. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and bird watching.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 4 pm Sunday January 21, at the Schoedinger Funeral Home, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Msgr. Anthony Frecker, Celebrant.
Friends may call from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Cremation services are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends are invited to attend a reception at the Elks Lodge, 2140 Sonora Dr., Grove City, OH 43123, immediately following the service Sunday.
