Kitty-Hunt Ziegenbusch
Kitty-Hunt Ziegenbusch, age 83 of Celina, died on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 9:50 a.m. at The Gardens of Celina.
She was born on November 27, 1934 in Mount Sterling, KY, the daughter of the late Bain M. and Elizabeth (Baumstark) Jones. On June 2, 1956, she married Dr. Kenneth H. Ziegenbusch at St. George Catholic Church in Cincinnati, and he died on December 6, 2011.
Surviving are her children; Karen Z. (Kevin) Gardner, of Lewisburg, PA, Kenneth H. (Kelly) Ziegenbusch, Jr. of Montpelier, OH, and Krista H. Ziegenbusch of Springfield, OH, Six grandchildren; Nicholas Ziegenbusch, Joseph Ziegenbusch, Ray Ziegenbusch, Kyle Gardner, Kathryn Gardner, and Kenneth J. Ziegenbusch, and a sister-in-law Dorothy Jones of Mount Sterling, KY and sister Mary Gormley Panzitz, Wyoming, MI. and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Along with her parents, Kitty-Hunt was preceded in death by a step-mother Mabel (Blevins) Jones, a brother Charles Jones, a sister Betty Scott, and an infant brother.
Kitty-Hunt was a 1952 graduate of Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield, MA, and went on to graduate from Christ Hospital School of Nursing, in Cincinnati, in 1956. She worked as a nurse alongside her husband in his medical general practice in New Bremen (1957-1964). Later, she worked as the office manager for West Ohio X-Ray where her husband was the founding partner.
She was a member of the Medical Wives Auxiliary and the Republican Women of Mercer County. She was an avid reader and meticulous knitter and counted cross-stitcher. She maintained photo albums and scrapbooks for her entire family. Above all, she was a devoted wife and mother, a loving grandma, aunt, and a loyal friend.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, New Bremen with Pastor Ed Rinehart assisting as officiant.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and on Wednesday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
That family suggests that memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to the American Cancer Society, or to Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Cincinnati.
