COLUMBUS - Fort Recovery resident James Zehringer recently announced his retirement as the director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Outgoing Gov. John Kasich appointed him to the position in November 2011. Zehringer, 66, said he's enjoyed leading the agency and has accomplished many achievements. [More]

The economy purred along smoothly as Mercer County maintained its hold on the state's lowest unemployment rate and many of the area's largest employers expanded or planned to do so.

CELINA - The championship for the 33rd annual OVISCO Classic will reside somewhere along State Route 119 after Marion Local and St. Henry advanced to Saturday's championship game at the Celina Fieldhouse.
