Luella Laux
Luella A. Laux age 93, a former Bryant and Portland resident passed away Saturday morning February 29, 2020 in Briarwood Nursing Home in Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born in Trinity July 5, 1926 the daughter of Leo and Agnes (Braun) Muhlenkamp. She was married May 21, 1947 to Mark Anthony Laux and he died January 21, 1988.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and later Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She also was a member of Altar Rosary Society, Bryant Senior Citizens, Catholic Order of Foresters and American Legion Auxiliar in Portland.
Surviving are eight sons David Laux (wife Linda) of Coldwater, Kenneth Laux (wife Betty) of Bryant, Donald Laux (wife Dana) of Goodlettsville, TN, Jerome Laux (wife Kathy) of Coldwater, James Laux (wife Marla) of Bryant, Patrick Laux (wife Jackie) of Geneva, Edward Laux (wife Valerie) of Bryant and Anthony Laux (wife Kami) of Fishers, Six daughters Agnes Schoch (John) of Geneva, Alice Budde (husband Jeff) of Portland, Marie Gross (husband Rob) of Coldwater, Judith Gelhaus (husband Ron) of St. Henry, Jane Bruggeman (husband Paul) of Coldwater and Marjorie Coldren (husband Jade) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. One brother Jim Muhlenkamp (wife Erma) of Portland, one sister Martha Hilgeford (husband Arnold) of Portland, Forty grandchildren and Fifty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by siblings Eileen Welsch (husband Lewis), Louis Muhlenkamp (wife Trudy), Norma Wallischeck (husband Joe), JoAnn Brackman (husband Ralph), Ruth Muhlenkamp, Rosemary Deitsch (husband Bevan) and Virginia Muhlenkamp.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday March 4, 2020 at 10:30 AM in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Alt presiding. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland.
