Lucille C. Smith, age 92, of Coldwater, Ohio, passed away at 9:00 P.M. July 25, 2020 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.

She was born February 13, 1928, in Celina, to the late Dallas and Anna (Suhr) Coats. On April 19, 1952 she married Roger A. Smith and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2011.

Surviving are a son, Todd (Kathy) Smith of Coldwater, daughter Crystal Abels of Coldwater; two sisters Jane Frysinger of Celina and June (Ted) Yewey of Wapakoneta and a brother-in-law Eugene (Lora) Smith of Ada. Six Grandchildren, one step grandchild and 17 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Audra Miller and Helen Russel.

Lucille was a 1946 graduate of Celina Senior High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ohio Northern University, in Ada, Ohio. She retired from Celina City Schools after 35 years of service.

She was a member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina; Eastern Star Chapter #91 in Celina and Delta Kappa Gamma International Group of Teachers.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, Ohio.

Attendees are asked to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of COVID-19. Masks are required by attendees at the visitation and funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
