Bernice Goettemoeller
Bernice E. Goettemoeller, of Upper Arlington, Oh. and North Fort Myers, Fl., passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Hope Hospice House, North Fort Myers.
Bernice was born July 4, 1940, in Chickasaw, Oh. to Elmer and Hilda (Bohman) Kremer. She married Robert L. Goettemoeller, of Maria Stein, Oh. on July 4, 1961 and he survives in Upper Arlington and North Fort Myers.
Bernice is survived by two children, Barry & Jodi Goettemoeller, of Fort Myers and Brenda Goettemoeller of North Fort Myers, and one granddaughter, Nicole & Luke Demaree, of Cincinnati. Six siblings, Melvin & Ann Kremer of St. Henry, Oh., Roger & Barb Kremer of Carthagena, Oh., Margie & Stan Lefeld of Coldwater, Oh., Denis & Sue Kremer of Troy, Oh., Gary & Helen Kremer of Maria Stein, and Roy & Jane Kremer of Coldwater, Oh., and brother-in-law Jerry Brandewie, of North Star, Oh.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Edgar & Clara Jean Kremer and sister Joan Brandewie.
She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Upper Arlington, and St. Therese Catholic Church, North Fort Myers, and was a member of the St. Andrew choir for 46 years.
She worked at Reynolds & Reynolds, the Ohio Farm Bureau, and Montessori Children's House. She was a 1958 graduate of Maria Stein Marion Local High School where she was a cheerleader and clarinet player in the band.
Bernice was an avid Bridge player and golfer and also enjoyed volleyball and softball. She was a member of the Chickasaw Chicks softball team and won five Women's Nine Hole League Golf Club Championships at The Ohio State University Golf Course.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd, and may be viewed online at StAndrewParishLive.com. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Rd., Columbus, OH 43220, on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 9 am to 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew Parish, 1899 McCoy Rd., Columbus, OH 43220.
