Joyce C. Hansel, 86, of St. Marys, OH died 3:00 a.m. Friday December 11, 2020 at her residence.

She was born August 21, 1934 in Norwood, OH to Ralph and Dorothy (Wergowske) Maxon. On November 10, 1953, she married Richard D. Hansel, who survives.

Other survivors include: son Keith Hansel of St. Marys, OH; 2 grandchildren: Duncan Hansel and Cameron Hansel.

She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1952).

She had worked as a telephone operator. In addition, the Hansel family owned and operated the Forum Newsstand in downtown St. Marys for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys. Her favorite pastimes included knitting, making all types of arts & crafts, and playing BINGO.

Private family funeral rites were held. Burial took place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
