Dorothy E. Wine, 80, of Celina, OH died 10:30 p.m. Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born June 5, 1940 in Celina, OH to Richard and Laura (Ramsey) Smelser.

Survivors include: husband Larry Wine, Sr. of Celina, OH; Son Robert (Sherrie) Hand of Celina, OH; Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Sister Joyce (Harry) Wine of Bushnell, FL; Sister Patty Glidden of Cayman Islands; Brother Harry (Tonya) Smelser of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: son Richard Hand; son Larry Wine, Jr.; son Roy Hand.

She was a graduate of Celina Senior High School (Class of 1958).

A veteran of the United States Army, she proudly served her country as a medical corpsman for the U.S. Army Hospital in Aberdeen, MD.

Dorothy was a homemaker, and also provided child care through the Mercer Co. Dept. of Jobs and Family Services for many area families.

Her favorite pastimes included camping, reading, watching soap operas and solving crossword puzzles.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday January 29, 2021 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial, with graveside military honors, will follow at the Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.

Visitation 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
